Review:
American Idiot, in the simplest form is a timeless album. It was an album which was loved by the world, and really proofed the 'rock scene' wasn't dead. It is one of those few albums which creates a spin on the music scene, which makes it even better as I believe we're currently waiting for something like this to happen again.
Green Day are a timeless band and are loved by many different generations are most people know the song 'American Idiot'.
My Favorite song off the album is easily 'Holiday'

Review:
OMG where to even start? This album has everything, that song that makes your heart melt (A Match Into Water, I'm Low On Gas And You Need A Jacket, Hold On Til May Etc) and some heavier songs to give it a very mixed feeling to it (King For A Day, Bulls In The Bronx Etc). The album has the perfect mix of songs, which are mainly based on love so in almost gives the album a deeper meaning, and some of the songs are quite good at hiding the fact that they are about love. Its a generally perfect album. The lyrics are very deep, which just makes it even better.
I can't wait for Pierce The Veils new album, but will it live up to the standards set up by Collide With The Sky?
I hope so
Here is probably my favorite song off the album:

Peace, Love and Empathy

Rock Reviewer:

Hi there,
I'm Ashleigh Aka the 'Rock Reviewer'. This post is going to be extremely basic but it will basically sum up why I've started with blog.
I've started this blog because music is my life and I owe so much to music as I don't want to sound like one of those stereotypical tumblr girls but music has saved my life countless times.
I'm not one of those 'pop' girls I prefer much heavier stuff, I don't label myself as 'emo' 'goth' 'scene' 'grunge' etc, but I guess this is more the music taste I fall under. I personally hate labels because someone shouldn't be labeled as things which they might not be because once again going going to sound like one of the stereotypical tumblr girls but for all you know the person with the brightest smile, could be holding back the most tears.
Okay heres a few random things you might want to know about me:

  • I like wearing bracelets
  • I can't leave the house without my ipod
  • I love Reading
  • Jurassic Park is my favorite film
  • New York is my favorite place in the world
I'm not overly interesting but I hope you'll stick around. I'll try and get a new review up every week.
My current favorite song:
Peace, Love and Empathy
